Urbaniza Announces Art Basel Artist-In-Residence Program, Yazzy's at www.williamverdult.com

1129flfod.jpgAccording to Reuters, 1930s Coral Rock Village Offered to Visiting Artist during Art Basel MiamiBeachMIAMI, Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Urbaniza, an urban design, real estate, andfinancing firm, today announced its artist-in-residence program at the CoralRock Village, an historic landmark in Coral Gables, Florida. Urbaniza invitesa creative professional to occupy one of the historic bungalows during theweek of Art BaselMiami Beach.Gladys Margarita Diaz-Jourdain, an architect, educator, art supporter andfounder of Urbaniza, created the program in order to support the artscommunity and activity around Art Basel, and to bring new creative energy tothe Coral Rock Village.

Professionals in any creative field are encouraged to apply. The creativeprofessional chosen will offer insights for creating a work of art that can beintegrated into the architecture of the property. A selection will be made byFriday, November 30th and announced during the week of Art BaselMiami Beach.Those interested in applying should provide information about themselves andtheir work and send it to info@urbanizarealty.com.

"Coral Rock Village is a magical place that many creative individuals havecalled home since its inception," said Gladys Diaz-Jourdain, Founder and CEOof Urbaniza. "The intent of this artist-in-residence program is to bringadditional creativity and imagination to an architectural legacy thatcontinues to evolve."Coral Rock Village is a series of renovated, furnished 1930s bungalows.Photos are available at www.coralrockvillage.com, along with a description ofthe inspirational atmosphere Ms. Diaz-Jourdain has brought back to life. Italso describes the history of the buildings and the extensive renovations.Coral Rock Village consists of six bungalows, a four car garage called"The Ruin," a moat, a cave and a truly Floridian coral rock landscape. In the1930s, university professors lived there, and in the 1960s, hippies andartists called it home. It has been featured on HGTV, which called it a"grotto hideaway," in the Miami Herald and Casa y Estilo magazine.

The 2007 artist-in-residence hosting period is from December 4 - 14.
